Hi curious! Doesn't the name say it all. It all began when we were witnessing an amazing lunar lander successfully being landed near south pole of moon by ISRO in a first ever expedition from earth.
Stories about one day having a human colony on moon and mars filled heart with joys and imaginations. But then we can;t help but compare with the situation of humanity on earth and our heart sank!
While we are exploring secrets of universe, we have not been kind to our own planets, its health and the plethora of species on it. I am sure that you have heard how fast we are making planet barren, losing species to extinction and endangering our own survival in the process.
I have no doubt that one day, humans will make their fabled journey and establish a colony on another planet. However, I am equally of no doubt that for a long long time after that too, our generations will still be habiting on this planet, if only we keep it habitable.
Never in the history hundreds of centuries of humanity before last century that we humans have inflicted so deep scars with our relentless activities damaging our own environment.
We have taken our planet for granted and remained busy in our identities that only served to divide us, like being Indian or American or Russian. The urgency we will feel to unite as 'Earthen' will be felt on the day when someone who went on other planet, say Mars and identify themselves as Martian!
We will then realise that only identity that ever mattered was being Earthen. Wouldn't it be too late by then!
Why not unite now and become Earthen today. Why not join hands in a sustainable future that guarantees this planet to remain breathable, thriving and enjoyable for our generations to come, not only for us but also for animals, birds and plants too.
The need was never as urgent as today. That idea made us spring to an action and earthen has born. Our idea slowly took shape. Now we have made a platform for all sustainable activities including our shopping for daily stuffs, to holidays, to our food, clothes that we wear, festivals we celebrate to businesses we do, at one place. Moreover, we have put in place care and support to the community that we are.
As we see sadly, people who are conscious of this need are in tiny minority. Until they grow and become powerful enough to be noticed and be able to change directors of larger governments and MNCs, there is a long way to go. Therefore, support for our members in their daily life to keep their faith alive is vital to our thriving.
Would you not join hand and participate your way to sustainable living. Our ancient scriptures are full of tales about lives of our ancestors and it's clearly visible that they chose to live close to nature and cared dearly for all elements of nature. Their conscious choices mean that we today have our thriving lives, amazing plant-based meals, amazing natural fibre clothes, amazing medicines in form of Ayurveda, amazing life enhancing Yoga and Pranayam, joyous festivals to celebrate nature's elements, amazing animals & birds and their sustainable co-existing.
In modern life, in our quest to curiosity, we have tried breaking away from nature to only discover higher sorrow, isolation, cancers, pollution, toxic diseases and a bleak future. Now that AI and Quantum upon us, the threat to make us even more isolated, inactive and separated from nature is never greater than now. Its time we get back to nature and make a lasting difference for all of us.
